Petaluma Music Festival is Cancelled
due to the impacts of COVID-19

Announcing the 1st Virtual Petaluma Music Festival
Saturday, August 1st

Dear Petaluma Music Festival Fans and Community Members,

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of the 13th Annual Petaluma Music Festival due to the impacts of COVID-19. The festival was scheduled for August 1st at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds. Our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our attendees, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and musicians, so it is ironic that during a time where we truly need to come together, we must stay apart in order to be safe.

If we can’t meet in person, let’s meet online!

We are diligently working on bringing you a virtual “Petaluma Music Festival” on Saturday, August 1st. The virtual festival will feature live-streamed performances by many of the headline artists which were a part of this year’s lineup (plus surprise guests), and performances showcasing the tremendous wealth of local music talent in Petaluma and the Bay Area. Although we cannot be physically together to celebrate all that makes the Petaluma Music Festival special, we hope you will continue to support keeping music in our schools by joining us online!

Please visit this website for updates and breaking news as we put together a fantastic lineup for the virtual festival on Saturday, August 1st.

We hope to see you soon!

Join us in support of Keeping Music in the Schools

Why Music?

Music is a Science.
Music is Mathmatical.
Music is a Foreign Language.
Music is History.
Music is Physical Eduction.
Music Develops Insight and Demands Research.
Music is all these things, but most of all, Music is Art

That is why we work to Keep Music in the Schools:
Not because we expect you to major in music
Not because we expect you to play or sing all your life…

But so you will be human
So you will recognize beauty
So you will be closer to an infinite beyond this world.

So you will have something to cling to
So you will have more love, more compassion,
more gentleness, more good –
in short, more Life.

We would like to invite you to become a supporter of the 2020 Petaluma Music Festival, an annual event benefiting the music education programs of all Petaluma area public elementary and secondary schools it’s for our kids!

The Petaluma Music Festival donated over $60,000 to all Petaluma area public school music programs in 2019, and over $385,000 in the last 12 years.  Thanks to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and guests we have established a world-class music festival in Petaluma AND we’re keeping music in our schools!  The 13th Annual Petaluma Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 1st, 2020 at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma and will feature:

  • 15 fantastic bands on 4 stages, including nationally recognized artists
  • A shaded seating section for VIP festival sponsors along with premium parking, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer
  • The fine beers of the Lagunitas Brewing Company
  • A variety of specialty food, craft and local business vendors
  • A fantastic silent auction and celebrity autographed guitar raffle
  • Free drinking water and an awesome Kids Area

The Petaluma Music Festival is faced with many up-front expenses necessary to produce the festival in August.  Your support will help us secure the music artists and allow us to mount another first-rate festival.  Your business will receive significant goodwill advertising, publicity, branding opportunities, and VIP hospitality (please see sponsorship opportunity levels).  Funding for the arts in California is problematic, and there is never enough for music in our schools.  With your donation, you will ensure that our children will continue to enjoy the positive influence of music in their lives, you are making a difference!

Sponsorship of the Petaluma Music Festival at any level is a tax deductible donation to a 501(c)3 non-profit organization benefiting music programs in all Petaluma area public elementary and secondary schools.
