Camper Van Beethoven is an American alternative rock band formed in 1983 in Redlands, California. Known for their eclectic mix of punk rock, folk, ska, and world music, the band gained a cult following with their debut album, Telephone Free Landslide Victory, released in 1985. This album featured their iconic hit “Take the Skinheads Bowling.”
In 2025, Camper Van Beethoven will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Telephone Free Landslide Victory with special performances at The Fillmore in San Francisco on April 26 and 27. These shows will mark the band’s first live performances in five years, drawing fans from all over to commemorate this milestone. The anniversary concerts will be a testament to the band’s enduring influence and the timeless appeal of their genre-blurring music. The shows will feature all the original members: David Lowery, Victor Krummenacher, Greg Lisher, Chris Molla, Jonathan Segel, and Chris Pedersen
